Me is a face

Me is a mask I wear

Me is a cover I have to hold on to

When people ask "Who are you really?"

I hide in a cloak of ashes

I say what they want to hear, in hope that they may accept me

I say the qualities that others have given me

Me is the lies I tell

Me is the heart of stone

Me is the darkness

Me is sin

I fall to the temptations of this world

I am an offspring of Adam and Eve

I am a slave of satan

Me is a hellbound sinner

Me is my weakness

Me is my shame and guilt

I am worthless and have no hope

I pretend I am a good person

I am powerless

Me is a human in need of a savior

Me is a recipient of grace

Me is daughter of God

I am saved!

I no longer seek the acceptance of others

I am accepted by my creator

Me is a new person

Me is a life in pursuit of Christ

Me is saved sinner right with God

I am righteous in God's eyes

I have received Jesus' perfect record

I am not at home here one earth

Me is a believe

Me is a character in God's storybook

Me is a Christian

God forgets my sins

God looks through Jesus and sees me

God has given me a place in haven

I AM a follower of Jesus Christ.
