He's a Fool

He’s a fool

Don’t you know?

Walkin’ around school

In all black

With a ripped up and ragged sack

He walks into school

Sick to his stomach

Mr. Jock laughs in his face

And calls him retarded

He tries to say stop

And opens his mouth

But all that comes out

Is a s-s-s-

He’s a fool

Don’t you know?

Walkin’ around school

He stutters

Different from the others

Lunchtime comes around

Everyone gives him looks

Some whisper “freak”

While others just snicker

He tries to find a spot

He just wants to enjoy his lunch

He runs to the safest place he knows

Into the janitors closet he goes

He’s a fool

Don’t you know?

Walkin’ around school

a scowl on his face

Never happy to be in this place

Quickly he walks home

Avoiding anyone in the streets

Trying to hide his tears

And ugly face

He sits down and writes a letter

To his ma, pa, and brother

He takes the rope and ties a knot

In goes his head, it’s better than a shot

He’s a fool

Don’t you know?

No longer does he walk around school

His fellow classmates have painted sad faces

If only God had answered his graces
