High School

When I got to my first high school class,

When I sat with new supplies and eager anticipation,

When I took the notes and did the homework,

When my classmates started complaining about all-nighters,

How that anticipation turned to dread.

Until my panic attacks put me to sleep

And it turned into a contest of which was heavier,

My eyelids or my schoolbag.

This poem is about:
Me
