High School through my Eyes

Stepping into high school is like stepping into reality.A place where nothing is handed to us anymore, and peer pressure’s a game of Mortal Kombat-your “friends” are screaming fatality. Where friendships are gained or even faded.Lies, stealing, cheating-You watch your best friend become your opponentFeels like your friendships were all pretense, huh?Believe me, the games have just departed.  Coming for education, but it’s more of judicial court. You’re judged everyday, your head is screaming ABORT.“How much money do you have?” or “What brand are you wearing?”If your appearance doesn’t appease, they’ll just keep on staring. How can you be free when your mind is enslaved?By crucial judgments, arduous expectations, and those nail-biting deadlines - Oh lord.We all try so hard, but what’s our reward?Fitting in? Being accepted?Let’s admit it, there’s nothing more really in store. Tired of lacking originality and nonsense fights.Self-deprecating ourselves because of words that bite.Anticipated high school so bad, but everybody’s beginning to lose sightof themselves, their minds- we should be taking our future to new heightsI wanted this experience so bad, but now? Yeah, right.
