High Tide

Some people may look and see the beach.

Some people look, and they see the shore.

Combers will walk as far as they can reach,

But, in the end, it is something we can all explore.

High tides will arise, and the waves will crash,

But all this is nothing to fear.

Waves have always come in to splash,

In the end, sunset will appear.

The silence of night will creep in with the fog,

And the daylight will slowly subside.

The evening will come nestle in on the bog.

The water will crest and wait for low tide.
