His

Thu, 05/18/2017 - 21:55 -- ACME

This is two poems in one day, but so be it.

Psalm 147:4 ~

He determines the number of the stars and calls them each by name.

Isaiah 40:26 ~

Lift your eyes and look to the heavens: Who created all these?

He who brings out the starry host one by one, and calls them each by name.

Because of his great power and mighty strength, not one of them is missing.

I fall to my knees and look to the sky,

I watch as the starry host streaks by,

Each one is in their place as God designed,

And then I realize so am I.

I have my place upon this Earth,

One I've realized since my rebirth,

Since into my heart the light has shined,

I have realized my true worth.

As God knows each star and calls out their name,

He knows each of his children, and our names he proclaims,

Because of His love not one of his children is missing,

But instead each for their Father has a flame.

Be one of the starry host.

Be a flame.

Be loved.

Be His.
