Hold Your Thoughts, Please

Can anyone save our minds?

Now like a sieve in the sand

Soon there will be none left to find

Instead, we are kept busy with our hands

The base of knowledge, smoldering in flames

Useless information replaces thought

Trying to make us all one and the same

With technology the flame and us the moth

The mind like a crazed lion trapped in its cage

Willing to beg for mercy on its knees

But, society, careful not to show any sign of rage,

Whispers, "Hold your thoughts, please."
