Holding Back

Holding back from you, believing that there was you and me,

But the truth is there was nothing between you and me,

I just can’t face the reality.

That you will never learn to love me.

 

The memories in my mind was filled with your smile,

I keep on holding you back still longing for your love,

My heart is shattered when I see you,

But I still have my hesitations to be with you.

 

I always believe there is you and I,

You’ll never make me cry,

I always trust in you that’s why,

Our love is higher than the sky.

 

Our heaven is priceless for us to fly,

These memories lie,

Wearing those perfect smile,

Is like walking with you in an aisle.

 

Those memories of you and me,

Made me jump with glee,

But you’ll set me free,

What I have done to thee?

 

I remember what it’s like to hold on to

Someone who left you with

Memories you can’t forget,

Memories you can’t undo.

 

It’s like holding a handful of sand,

Slipping through the gasp of your hand,

One grain at a time,

Until there was nothing left to hold on, to...
