home

Surrounded by a million faces

I don’t recognize

I turn when the wind whispers my name

Just in time to hear it die

And am I the only one

Who can see through my smile?

I know that beneath this yellow sun

Is the place I want to find

But when I set out in the morning

I feel I’m just so far behind

So give me just one sunset

Like back when I lived out west

Give me just one miracle

So I can believe again

A place to call my home

Under this open endless sky

And maybe I wont feel so alone

Beneath the stars tonight

Give me just one person

Who will ask me to stay

To tell me that without me here

This place wont be the same

Maybe I am weak

Because I am afraid

Give me just one hope

That someday…

Ill get that one sunset

That makes me feel alive

Ill get that one miracle

That makes me really smile

Ill get a home

One of my own

Ill find out who I am

And fix what has been broken
