Hooks

So they say to be perfect

Either that or it's not worth it

You got an attitude, curb it

All of that, ya I've heard it.

'Cause if you ask them why not

They'll just stutter a lot

And their faces become hot

'Cause they know they've been caught

Like how I'm pale and I'm thin

And have no hair on my chin

See for them that's a win

Healing insecurities within

I'm nothing according to you

But you don't what I've been through

All the shit that I have to do

Just not to throw myself in the blue

So forget you and your looks

Your eyes, with their hooks

That pulled me down and they shook

me and that confidence they took

So I'll stay the me that I like

So that one day, I just might

look up and muster the fight

to step out of the darkness, and into the light
