The Horsemen Follow Through Time

She walks through time

Life

She breathes

Tainted

With uncertainty

Her eyes wonder

Wavering hearts

Their shadows

Cast doubts

Strength

She sees

Born

Through hidden Hell’s

Sorrow, dread, hate, self loathing

Never cease

Their pursuit

She witnesses many

Kidnapped by horsemen

They consume your thoughts

Eventually breaking skin

She cries out

It’s too much

A question forms

A single word

Known by curious minds

And aching souls

It rolls out

From cracked lips

And puffy cheeks

from storming thoughts

And shattered sense

Her cries are

Lonely days and

Fake smiles

Quiet words and

Loud thoughts

Bright eyes and

Obscure tears

She walks through time

Backwards

Shes stabbed

with broken shards

Memories

She collects them

Many lost

Though

She forces them together

Creating

Her broken life

Looking forward

Ahead of where she stands

The present

There are bright pieces

Painted by

Walking through time

Together

The brightness

Draws a smile

In darkness

She’s thankful

Time led her

Right here

Her heart rises

But the horsemen

They always lurk

One day, she’s destined to be

Kidnapped

Consumed and

Broken

Never to be seen again
