How much does that bottle of perfection cost?

The world has taught me

To look at myself in disgust

To believe I am not worthy

And to see myself as dust.

That self pity is a "must-have" accessory.

But I believe the only beauty in the world

 Is in the imperfections.

Just like the chipped teacup is more lovely

for the want of it's missing piece.

The human heart is the most stunning

when it accepts it's scars in peace.

I fear our world is corrupted in the fact that

We will pay almost anything to look like someone else.

No matter what we look like or feel like,

we are not good enough for our selves.

Imagine if we saw our flaws as beauty

And our imperfections as individuality.

How would the world respond to such a controversial idea?

The media deceives us. They tell us to feel good about ourselves,

But that it can only be accomplished by purchasing their product.

They are selling a healthy idea with a cheap trick.

I hope someday we all realize that

Despite the thoughts of worthlessness

That plague all of our minds,

It is our flaws that make us flawless.
