Human

The sunshine gleams in your eyes

As the sea moves within your body

You bend the earth

And breathe the air

You’re something new in the world

A spark from a shooting star

The heart that beats throughout us

The love brought upon us

Some say you’re a god

Or even the angels around us

But I say you’re human

A change between the seasons

Winter, spring, summer and fall

You have spoken to me before

About your goal for our world

To save the ones in need of saving

And teach those in need of teaching

That each drop of rain

And flower blooming

Is the life of another object coming alive

From your power

And will to create

A new beginning for this very year

What we call 2015
