Humbled

Sat, 10/20/2018 - 17:14 -- Fayre06

All the times you’ve made me smile,

All the things you’ve done for me,

I couldn’t thank you with any words,

You deserve every apology.

We make things so much harder,

The boat is rocking,

Nothing is steady,

You said we should enjoy the ride.

When the world is spinning,

You ground me,

When my heart is palpitating,

You calm me.

With every waking moment,

You help me survive,

With every act of kindness,

You keep me alive.

Through the ups and downs I’ve said some things,

Yet you haven’t amplified the guilt I feel,

We say things we do not mean,

Even you – who has the grace of a queen.

My bleeding heart cannot speak,

But I will tell you what it means,

It loves you with every beat,

It bleeds love and is finally free.
