Hurts Doesn't It?

If there's one phrase that's hard to say,
If there's something we don't want to think about each passing day
If there's something that would make some of us want to cry,
It would be the thought of saying goodbye
Whether it's a breakup, death, leaving or all of the above,
Pain is an emotion humans aren't void of,
Many people in life, myself I know,
Have a difficult time letting go
And I'm not gonna lie,
As I write this poem I begin to cry,
Because I'm my life people have walked out, died and gone AWOL,
And there as nothing I could do at all,
But then I remember that tomorrow is never a promise, but a gift,
One that, if you are suicidal, is taken for granted,
And you my friend, you mean do much to me,
I'm not going to pretend to be an expert on morality,
But nothing is made better by suicide wishes or making yourself bleed, but it's ok to be sad and feel grief,
Instead of wishing darkness to someone or yourself,
Try a route that will end with happiness and glee,
Start by pulling the people closest to you.... and treat them like family
