I ain't that girl

There's that image of me in your brain

I gave you my heart and soul

but what you chose to see was vain

every image of me in your head

is of my physical body

you never learned to appease my brain

I am more than what you made of me

I am not that girl

I am not that girl

There's nothing I could do to rewrite

that chapter of me you have inside

of your head

just know, I am not that girl

I am not that girl

I am not that girl

I am not her

You remembered every part of my physical body

but you cannot recall my dreams and passions

and why I am the way that I am

I am more than what you made of me

I am not that girl

I am not that girl

I really cannot change how others percieve

that's why I pay attention to how they deceive

why worry about something you cannot see

this is a blessing it thoroughly set my soul free

There's nothing I could do to rewrite

that chapter of me you have inside

of your head

just know, I am not that girl

I am not that girl

I am not that girl

I am not her

I am more than what you made of me

I am not that girl

I am not that girl
