I am flawless

I am flawless.

But I was not born this way.

I did not make myself this way.

I do not deserve to be this way.

Yet here I am

Saying I am flawless.

It was not by my own strength that I changed my ways.

It was not through my own struggles that I was set free.

It was by the power of the one who made me.

So here I am

Saying I am flawless.

Not in my own eyes, and certainly not in anyone else’s

But in his, I am a new creation.

I am beautiful, I am loved.

I am forgiving, because I have been forgiven.

I am merciful, because I have experienced mercy.

I am strong because of his strength.

I am a princess because he is my king.

And I am alive because of his death.

I am flawless.
