I Am Flawless

when i hear the word flawless

i think about all the blemishes on my face

the many scars and marks that cover my body

the lion mane that covers my head

and the jagged row of teeth that i have

when you look at me you may not see

physical beauty

but like many wise old women say

it's not what's on the outside that conveys

what's on the inside

it's what matters on the inside

flawlessnes shouldn't be determined

by talent or looks

nor by smarts or books

it should be determined by personality

and the radiance within

i am flawless

my aberrant aptitude and

captivitating caring

are small things

but they are what make me

myself

i am proud of who i am

and that my friend is what makes me

Flawless
