I Am a Foster Care Child

Frightening being in a strangers home

On thin ice, unsure of every step

Scared of not returning to your own home or family

The "New Kid"

Every child deserves a chance to be with a loving family

Roommates, get too attached, heartbreaking

Court dates, nerve wrecking

Adaptable, caring, strong, tough

Remember you are part of another family now too

Extraordinary, beat the odds, Don't let the unfortunate event define you.
