I Am... Here to Stay

Always judging, never pleased

With who I am, my happiness seized.

To one I am incapable

Such negativity inescapable.

To another I am a viscious enemy

Criticisms weighing down heavily.

Let it keep my dreams from become a reality?

Surrender to the constant brutality?

To fullfill my will

Positivity I now must instill.

Because

I am courageous.

Passion so great, it is o' so dangerous.

I am blessed.

Armor of strength in which I am dressed.

I am ambitious.

The taste of victory overwhelmingly delicious.

Most importantly, I am flawed.

Mistakes made, that get no applause.

So judge you may,

For I am here to stay.
