I Am Indigo

I see the world in grey,

but I journey my own way.

Black and white is behind and in front of me.

I bring a new shade to the world.

I will paint my own reality.

I am my own shade.

I stand and will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow.

I'm surrounded but I'm lonely.

I am trapped but I feel free.

I am satisfied but I am hungry.

I am complete but I am empty.

I am my own shade.

I will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow.

Magazines and TVs inspire fantasies

that shape our internal galaxies

and distort all of our realities,

making us live in a world made out of fantasies.

Black, white, brown is gray when we think the same.

Dressed up plastic we all became.

I am my own shade.

I will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow.

The world was gray before I found my own way.

Gone are my chains to drift one way.

I paint a new world for tomorrow starting today.

The colors blend into one.

I am indigo, the voice for everyone.

I am my own shade.

I will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow.

Let's dance that new dance and wave our hands in the air.

The newest trend is pretending that we never care.

Forgot yourself in the shades of clothes that your wear.

You find your hue within your own stare.

I am my own shade.

I will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow.

Dreamer, lover, fighter in a collage,

My whole life is a breathing montage.

I'm  leaving my blue print on the floor,

I’m leaving shades of grey at my front door.

I am my own shade.

I will never fade.

I am indigo.

I am a rainbow
