I Am Not Defined

I am not defined by the color of my hair or the size of my hips

You can’t make me believe that all I am worth is what you tell me

I am not worthless, because I’ve made a world of differences to the ones who know me best

I am not broken, for I have risen from the ashes like a phoenix

I am on a new track

A path leading to loving myself for who I am

Because I have a purpose

I am not defined the shade of my skin or the numbers on a paper

I am powerful

I am beautiful

I am worthwhile

Today is gonna be a great day, and here’s why:

I am strong, I am smart, I am who I am destined to be

I am not defined by the way you stare at me

I am not an object to be taken advantage of

I am me, and that’s wonderful.

Don’t bother telling me otherwise.
