I am only a Teen

Location

Lawrence High
1901 Louisinia
United States

Sleepless eyes, sleepless nights.

Midnight strikes,

As numerous assignments crowd

A blank mind.

Midnight strikes,

Like when a teacher says "pencils down"

A blank mind

With no resonance.

Like when a teacher says "pencils down"

Awe struck reactions from the students--

I was the one that sat towards the back of the classroom,

But the inevitable concept of failure

Created walls around the exterior.

I was the one that sat towards the back of the classroom,

Whose failures caused

Created walls around the exterior.

The network of thought resides.

Human instinct to overthink,

As numerous assignments crowed

From the voices of which anxious students remain silent.

Sleepless eyes, sleepless nights.
