For I am a Poet.

Location

On cold winter nights when I feel all alone,

I open up my journal.

On warm summers eves when I don't want to read,

I open up my journal.

When I'm feeling low, lower than ever.

My journal is there.

When people are there, putting me down.

My journal makes me say " I do not care."

For I am a poet; nothing more.

I write for pleasure; nothing less.

I write to escape the problems in the world,

Poverty, Famine, War.

Poetry won't fix the problems we see,

But what it does do

Is makes a gate way.

Where you can escape into dreams.
