I am Ready

I am Ready

Who is that girl?

Her expression is dark,

her face shows

signs of sadness.

A tear runs down our reflection.

What’s the point of living?

Why must we continue to survive

when life never ends in happiness?

Why am I here?

I’m worth nothing.

We cry together

through the looking glass.

Who is that woman?

She spent many years

in the dark pit

of fear and sadness.

Now, she has grown

taller than the largest tree;

stronger than the toughest rock;

kinder than a loving heart.

I know my purpose.

I see a woman preparing

for the battle of life

through the looking glass.

I am here.

I am now.

I am ready.
