I am me because only I can be,

I am me because, through time and space and all that may change, I am left unbroken...

 

 

I am my past, my future, my ever growing potential,

Shaped out of pain and suffering that only I may know, 

I am me because of my own decisions...

 

 

I am me because of every step I've taken that I imagined was the right one,

I've unintentionally set in motion events in my life that will inevitably bring my success or my downfall,

I am me because of this...

 

 

I am me because of all the nights I've spent looking up at the stars, hoping, no, praying that there's more, that I'm more...

I am me because there's nothing else that I could be that would ever truly follow the "flawless" design that was etched into our souls...

 

 

I am me because of the love and support I get for even the most selfish of things that I've done or thought,

I am me because, through all that I've been through, all the moments as a kid that I've laughed and cried till my stomach hurt, all the moments where I stood in the cold unforgiving rain for an answer to a question I didn't even know, I still stand,

I am me because I am left unbroken...
