I Am the Villain

I am a character in a story of my own

I’ve at long length known what I was written to say

That I am the villain, I’ve always known

For so long I’ve obediently done what was shown

To be polite I went out of my way

I am a character in a story of my own

My mind developed, evil seeds were sown

I looked to night for comfort; spurned the day

That I am the villain I’ve always known

I grew wild, my hair long, tangled, grown

For my lunacy the world will pay

I am a character in a story of my own

Lost in solitude, I resent being alone

For friendship’s injustice, they must submit, obey

That I am the villain, I’ve always known

I have nothing to lose, my family flown

So conquering you is mere child’s play

I am a character in a story of my own

That I am the villain, I’ve always known
