I Am What I Love

love writing and sharing people's stories

I wonder if we will ever stop judging people over materialistic matters

I hear the cries of the lost–rich or poor

I see the mischievous grins on my innocent little brothers

I want to find meaning and happiness

love sharing my truths

I pretend that society's words don't cut like knives

I feel the warmth of love from family and friends

I touch a hand in hopes to help them

I worry that I will lose myself to the media's portrayal of people like me

I cry when I see the news because it's all about oppression

love that this is the generation of innovation

love the music of what I call home

love saying the unspoken

love writing the unwritten

love reading people's stories

love who I am
