I asked
for answers to my questions
asked for peace and understanding
of my short comings
remind me when i'm broken
and lift my sunken heart
i asked for balance
that he guides my every step
that he provide comfort
that he provide shelter
i asked for love
to heal the ones who surround me and to
understand the purpose why we are here
i asked for nourishment to quench my temptations, to keep
me from hurt harm and most of all ; danger
i asked for repentence and that each sin be forgotten
that through it all i kept asking
and through it all you continue
