I can feel her hands

I can feel her hands touching me
as if we were in love yesterday,
her fingers sliding down my spine;
she loved me and she was mine.

Now imaginary fists are in my hair;
I cling to her memory in desperation.
Simple words cannot express my desire,
now without her love, I will expire.

Long past are the days of last summer
and I’ll miss them until the end of time.
That endless night when we could have kissed…

I’m in love with someone who no longer exists.
