I cherish my creativity

Like the soft taste of a kitten
Or the smell of a quiet breeze
I get an upturned lift of my lips.
The taste of the picture jumping to its feet.
Yearning for more, I smell the excitement
Like feeling the happiness of laughter
Without this sweet sanctuary, the flower of my heart will wilt
Emptiness would fill me if it were to disappear
It is the oxygen that fills my lungs
I’d be lost in a never ending maze if I were to lose it
It’s like the buried treasure a pirate lives to find
The joy it brings could never be beaten
Like a bird beating its wings to soar
Or a fish swishing its fins to skim through the water
This is truly important; its absence would end me
