I do accept

The world frowns

upon me because they can't

accept

that I am proud to be  a woman

I am proud enough

 to stand up tall

and scream it

The world frowns

upon me because they can't

accept

that I can love my body

and every last piece of my being

because I know I am

enough

The world frowns

upon me because they can't

accept

that I don't like acting a certain way

I don't like to shave

I don't like to be soft

I don't like to be polite

and hold my tongue

The world may frown

upon me because they can't

accept

But I do not frown

upon those like me

or those that are different from me

because I know

we are all enough

we are all our own

we are

acceptable

The world may frown

upon me because they can't

accept

But I will keep on smiling

because I do accept
