I Don’t Want To Grow Up

I Don’t Want To Grow Up

16 years young

Just graduating high school

With the thought of

“Man college is going to be so cool!”

Wrong.

17 years young

Just starting college (registered at night)

With the thought of

“Student loans don’t sound too bad right?”

Wrong.

17 years young

Spring semester comes around

With the thought of

“Wow, does everyone feels this down?”

Correct.

I wish I would have known

I wish I would have taken a day off

I am too young for all this stress

Maybe I should lay off?

Wrong.

This experience has taught me so much responsibility

Accountability

Now like at me

A broke college student

With less reliability

Eh

I don’t want to grow up

This poem is about:
Me
