I find myself dreaming

I find myself dreaming.

I find myself dreaming of the warmth that engulfs me in it's significant embrace.

I find myself dreaming of you. Hand in hand and face to face.

I find myself dreaming of a simple lost thought, and the time I had long fought.

I find myself dreaming at the thought of what happens next, and is it for the best.

I find myself dreaming of that precious heartbeat, the pulse that beats over and over.

I find myself dreaming of the words that goad my thoughts, and insult me as a wanderer.

I find myself dreaming of the intoxicating darkness that surrounds my body, in which I find so oddly.

I find myself dreaming of the breathless act, and my ribs beneath my sheltering body evenly cracked.

I find myself dreaming of the hurt I cause my mind.

I find myself dreaming of my body sober, but my conscious drunk on the thought of pain.

I find myself dreaming of the skies a beautiful blue, with the fall of rain.

I find myself dreaming of the slow drowning feeling, and the scars that are not healing.

I find myself dreaming of the wonders of death, slowly taking breath by breath.

I find myself dreaming of that joyous light, that someday hoping I will unite.
