I Have A Dream...

Mon, 05/05/2014 - 22:17 -- Jaszyyy
I dream of a bond from birth growing stronger everyday.
Not everyone understands the roles being played.
Although I didn't come from your womb I am your daughter.
A child full of heartache growing up without a father.
As laughter and joy enter my heart
The feeling of sorrow begins to depart.

A sense of completion is what is felt
When my wounds are healed with your help.
Going through tough times and yet I smile
Because in the end it'll all be worthwhile.
The bond we have grows with our love
For I was placed under you care thanks to the man above.

Never will my mom know the pain she caused.
Deep down I'll always have these ugly scars.

I know that you'll always be there
And continue to expand the bond we share.

I see the sonnet form, but lines 15 and 16 don't actually make a near rhyme from what I see. You also seem to lose your theme midway through. Still, I can feel the emotion in your diction and form, so I really like it. Keep up the good work!
