I Love You

Fri, 10/13/2017 - 11:23 -- Kacia

I choose to love you

I choose to hold on to our memories

I choose to hurt

I choose to be broken

Not because I am a sadist

But, rather because I am a lover,

A lover of all things you

You changed who I was

You showed me new things

You gave me life

You made me different

I grew with you

That’s all I could ask for

Although, our time was short

I loved you-

I loved you deeply

I will continue to love you,

For you made me pristine

You gave me my firsts

You gave me all you could and,

I appreciated everything we had,

My first love

I love you

Perfect, you were to me

Perfect, we were to each other

But, try we did not

Hope, I had for us

Broken, I was for you

Yet, I cannot rid myself of you

I have yet to understand how to completely rid my love for you

But, as time goes by I am slowly learning love is simply- you

And I cannot rid myself of the disease of you

I choose to hold on to you

I love you
