I Love You

Divorce... What a tragic idea. When the love that was once there Suddenly disappears No one asks questions Assuming nothings wrong And when they find out They are put into shock Now asking the kids if they are all right But one mistake is made Everyone worries about the kids And never does anyone ask the parents Although the kids are younger And it appears to be hard for them It tends to be harder for the parents They try to think that it is only for the better But in reality they feel as if they have failed They feel they have let their kids down They feel they have let themselves down It does not matter... How many times I try to tell them I understand and it is only for the better But I can feel those nights When crying is the only way For any of us to fall asleep It does not matter if they have someone new That makes them happier than ever They still feel they have failed me and themselves It does not matter how many times I try to them That I understand It does not matter how many times I try to tell them I Still LOVE THEM.
