I Need You

Can I wisp over the mountains,
Like the thin streams of mist?

Might I whistle through the pines,
With the wind's quiet hiss?

Hey you out there,
Are you listening?
I'm just a child in here sobbing.
But right now, when I'm falling apart,
Please come closer, hold my heart.

I know you'll never leave me,
Never abandon or deceive me,
You'll hold me like a child and I find peace in you.

In your heart I find romance, fame, and glory,
In you I'll never lose my sense of story.

Sing me to sleep, and I'll dream in peace,
Your heart next to mine as you hold me gently.

Your so lovely, lost in the oceans of your soul,
Your love pours worth into me and I cannot control,

For you I stop wanting and find joy in just being.
So much pleasure I find in my nearness to you.
