I promise, my darling

I don’t know you yet

But I know that you are beautiful

I don’t know if you’ve met my family

But I know that you are mine now

I have just a few things to say

A few promises

A few questions

A few requests

Promises

I promise that I will love you until I die

I promise that I will support you in all you do

I promise to try to understand all that you tell me

I promise to work for what we have, and never let it take a back seat

I promise to work for us over me and we over I

Questions

Do you really love me?

Is this really happening?

Can you believe that I have found someone as perfect as you?

Do you remember when we first met?
How about our first kiss?

Will you cherish the memories forever with me?

Requests

I request that you are patient with me for you know how hard life gets

I request you try to understand me even when I don’t make sense

I request that you work for us too and tell me every day

I request that you indulge my insecurity and remind me who you love

This is what I have for you

My very special someone

I don’t know who you are yet, but I know that you exist

And my darling when we find each other

The love we share will forever persist
