I (Still) Have a Dream

I'd like to blame it on the time

It has been so rough

Between the rapes and murders, I've had enough

But is that really an excuse for the way we're acting

They don't care about the love, only things

I live in  a world where drugs are the norm

We are constantly told no and forced to conform

There is no respect, no freedom, or peace

The hatred and evil- it has got to cease

When did marriage become a game

Why aren't we treating everyone the same

I'd like to blame it on the time

But is that really the case

Or have these dreams really gotten too far to chase
