But I thank you

Tue, 10/23/2018 - 19:37 -- KNim

To the one who waited

hours upon hours

days upon days

weeks and weeks

years to years

a lifetime

You're the one who raised me

you're the one who cared

you're the one who suffered

but you're the one who beared

I love you

I need you

I hate you

I cry for you

My birthday isn't my own

but your pain

so no question

no celebration

Patiently

softly

gently

carefully

aggressively

passionately

lovingly

the one who did their duty in life

but didn't fulfill their own destiny
