I Will Kill You in Your Sleep

Location

I used to be

So beautiful

And now whenever I look

My face is all crinkled up

And soggy beyond repair

And my heart feels

So

Heavy

I don’t know how I can manage to hold it up anymore

I asked an old man to help me

And all he did was hand me skin cream and an oddly shaped T

As if a symbol of death

Could guide me through life

But I did what he told me

I got on my knees and prayed

And I was answered with both kindness

And a smack in the face
