Because I must
Because, sometimes, spoken word
doesn't express everything that needs to be said

Because there are things
best expressed through paragraphs of carefully chosen and proofread,
heartfelt prose

Because, sometimes, the things I think
And the things I say
Can't get in time with each other

Because I need time
To put my thoughts into pictures
To say, not merely what I think, but what I feel

Because the words flow out of me
And if I didn't I would implode
From lack of expression

Because there are words that must be said
Because I must say them
