Identity

I’ve ask, and ask, and ask,

Over and over again,

What is my purpose?

Am I supposed to be here?

Why was I born?

And over and over again,

Questions went unanswered

Looking at my surrounding,

I feel like I don’t belong

Everything so different and scary

In this huge unknown place

I feel like I’m stuck in the dark

Going about life aimlessly

With no purpose to my action

Just trying to live it out

Every time I pretend like I belong,

I feel aching pain in my heart

I ignore it every single time

Which only deepen my despair

Before I even knew it,

An impenetrable shell was built within me

Ceiling off who I used to be

Creating someone who hide behind a mask

Now I’m just an empty shell

Living life with no meaning

Just waiting for something to happen

Something that will make me feels alive

I’ve ask, and ask, and ask,

Over and over again

What is my purpose?

Am I supposed to be here?

Why was I born?

And over and over again,

Questions went unanswered
