Identity

Location

One step at a time

A skill already learned

Walls up, Im guarded

Hiding within the shadows, nothing left unturned

Retreat..

I hide, I cower, I scury, I flee

No one will understand

Only the outside they see

Constantly shaking, a whisper of sadness

A smile so fake and crumbled

Stepping forward is only madness

I swallow the words, as they stick to my throat

Emotions of each inevitable tote

I walk with shadows, and the dark of the night

My curtain is drawn, Im ready to fight

I open this door, that for so long has been closed

Im strong, Im free, Im ready...

Pulled back in instance, bolt every lock

Step back behind the curtain,

Body and mind left in shock

No one will understand

Only the outside they see

A smile so fake and crumbled

Blind in vision, fate never revealed

Identity lost, never again to be seen.
