If England won the American Revolution
The British we did fight, we lost so the British pulled the noose tight
Hung us as an example for the world to see, for only free did we want to be
Our rights have been taken our tradition forsaken, our cities burned
Upside down our world was turned in a year not so near of 1789
Our mother country Britain did not appreciate the deceit, and for such we suffered a Great defeat, our army was weak but our soul could not be beat
With muddy feet and heavy hearts, our colonies all but broken apart
Under complete rule from the crown they make us look like a clown
Although our resources are shipped by them world round.
We apologized and they laughed, they just thought us daff
Far from the days when everybody in the colonies could take a bath in the royal gold
From all the resources to them we sold
Our resentment is bold, they treat us cold
Around 1870 we started to get our rights back
Freedom of speech we got but higher we were to reach
Religion we got, our freedom was bought, with the blood from those before oh what a Surprise did we have in store for the Brits
The battle was long the fight was strong but pre vale we did, all fought old man to kid
Parliament nearly blew their lid, when they found out what we did
England s government on our land we obliterated, aid from other countries let us know where we were situated
One long war later New Jersey was but a crater but yet the bells of freedom rang loud and proud for all to hear far and near
Freedom we possessed our patience did they test
Our colonies were united we were not to be slighted
Strong we now are just look near or far
For a free nation we stand, in support of the common man
