If you could wrap your fingers

Around mine
Like the morning air
Dances around my
Fingertips
And let your body envelope
Mine
Like my blanket when I’m getting
Cozy
If you could let me taste you
One more time
Like the afternoon coffee
I have at five
Just hold me
And let me know that you’re still there
And you’ll always be there
Like the coming of winter
After autumn
That you’ll come back
Like winter does
Every year
But next time you return
Don’t leave like winter does
When spring pokes through the trees
Stay here
Stay with me
