If You Don't Exist, Someone Next to You Won't Have a Friend

"I hate my life."
This statement used to travel around my ears all day,
Like a dog wanting its owner.

Let me get this straight:
You feel like no one likes you, like the world is falling.
Everyone hates you, and wants you invisible.
You start making assumptions, not realizing what is true and what is false.
You don't want to eat because being fat makes you more depressed.
You don't enjoy school, and lose taste in socializing.

At home, you like to take that silver knife,
And start cutting...not paper.
Cutting.
Cutting.
Cutting.
It may not only be cutting, but hopefully you stop there.
Because you realize blood is dripping down,
And if you don't stop,
You're going to drown in your own blood.
Screaming for help won't do anything because no one hears you; no one cares.
The shadow in the mirror yells at you for being you.
Darkness floods around you, pitch black with a tint of red.

Eventually, you're telling your own self lies, and that's what kills you.

--

No one wants to suffer through depression.
Everyone has their childhood dream and has a goal in life.
Of course there's ups and downs, but humans have the capability to overcome it.
I'm no counselor, but I know that time was the only solution to get nasty dark thoughts out of my head.

There's not one human being, at least I hope, that don't mean anything.
This world exists because of the people.
Everything else can't do much.
A bag, computer, sofa, etc.
Actions caused by people allow things that don't have a heart to function.
One person is affected by another, and continues on like a chain reaction.
Each person has a story, and that story needs to be told to another.

So drop the knife, throw it away.
Heal your scars, heal your broken heart.
Get your head back up,
And allow yourself to enjoy the air while you can.
Time will heal.
Of course, be open to people who might need someone next to them,
Just like you.

People make the world.
And each person has some kind of effect on others.
Whether negative or not, stand back up.
Because someone else might be needing a friend like you.

(Thankyou for being born. Thankyou for existing.)
