He who increaseth knowledge, increaseth sorrow they said.

Is this why our days feel ominously dead?

Is this why we find difficulty facing tomorrow?

He who knows both dark and light,

Can leave one trapped in a haunting fright?

We did not know, we were not aware;

Is this why some of our belonging hours are filled with despair?

Ignorance is bliss they said,

now every waking morning is something we dread?

We thought light was only to be acknowledged,

then darkness crept in- that we did not plan.

For we are mindful of other universes and foreign places,

for we ache such everlasting graces.
