I'm Alone for my own protection

Honesty and trust are mere tools for the clever

for when they have your faith, they can tell a fool whatever.

With no consequences to be held because it was all an illusion,

they'll leave your soul in pieces in need of an emotional institution.

Some think these minds games are comical

because to craft such lies the artist's mind must be phenomonal.

So they do it for sport, for fun, momentary joy;

this using real people like game pieces or toys.

But their is a last resort, though it a lonely path to tour:

trust no one, care for no one, and any pain you can endure.

Cut off the world with the great double edged sword

known as honesty and trust...my luxuries no one can afford.
